has held a final close for PA Real Assets Fund II, at $242 million, about 20 per cent larger than the predecessor fund. 

PA said that structural change across the energy and natural resource landscape will dislocate the sector and create attractive investment opportunities for the fund.

Limited partners in the fund include pension plans, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, corporations and single and multi-family offices.

“Over 70 per cent of Fund II commitments came from existing relationships and approximately 15 per cent of commitments came from non-US investors. We are also very excited to have gained several new investors and further expanded our global LP base,” Chip Moelchert, chief executive of PA said.

PA manages more than $5 billion in assets as of March 31, 2020. It is an affiliate of New York Life Investment Management, an indirect subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.
